How we collect, use, and protect your information on Zinggo.
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Zinggo (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates a restaurant discovery and ordering marketplace platform available through our website and mobile app (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Zinggo, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What Zinggo Is — and Isn’t
Zinggo is a discovery and ordering marketplace. We connect you with restaurants so you can browse menus and place orders directly with them.
Zinggo does not prepare, handle, deliver, or guarantee any food.
Zinggo does not employ or manage delivery riders. Delivery, if offered, is arranged and fulfilled by the restaurant itself.
The restaurant is solely responsible for food quality, safety, hygiene, pricing accuracy, and order fulfillment.
Zinggo’s role is limited to providing the platform that connects you with restaurants, processing your order details, and facilitating payment where applicable.
This matters for privacy too: information about your order (what you ordered, your delivery address, your contact number) is shared with the restaurant you order from, because they need it to fulfill your order. We are a marketplace, not the seller of record.
Sign-in via Google or Apple: if you choose to sign up or log in using “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Apple,” we receive basic profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. We do not receive your Google or Apple account password; authentication happens directly with Google/Apple, and we never see or store it.
Order information: items ordered, delivery address, special instructions, payment method selected.
Communications: messages you send us through support, chat, or contact forms.
Information collected automatically
Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and how you interact with the app.
Location data: your approximate or precise location (with your permission) to show nearby restaurants and estimate delivery areas.
Log data: IP address, access times, and similar technical information collected automatically when you use the Service.
Information from restaurants and payment processors
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Show you relevant restaurants and menus based on your location
Process and route your orders to the correct restaurant
Facilitate payment for your order
Send order updates and notifications
Provide customer support
Improve and personalize the Service
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Who We Share Information With
Restaurants you order from — to fulfill your order, restaurants receive your order details, delivery address, and contact number.
Google and Apple — if you use “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Apple,” limited authentication data is exchanged with these providers as part of the sign-in process, governed also by their own privacy policies.
Service providers — companies that help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, analytics, SMS/notification delivery), bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Zinggo, our users, or the public.
We do not share your information with advertisers for third-party advertising purposes.
5. Your Choices and Rights
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your Zinggo account at any time directly from the app:
Profile → Settings → Delete Account
When you delete your account:
Your profile information, saved addresses, and saved payment methods are permanently removed from our active systems.
Your past order history may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes, as required by applicable law.
This action cannot be undone. If you delete your account, you’ll need to create a new one to use Zinggo again.
Other choices
Location permissions: disable location access anytime through your device settings, though this may limit the app’s ability to show nearby restaurants.
Notifications: turn off push notifications in Settings or your device settings.
Marketing communications: opt out of promotional messages while still receiving essential order-related notifications.
Access and correction: view and update most of your personal information directly in your profile settings, or contact us for assistance.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we may retain certain data where required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes, in line with applicable law.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
Zinggo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to restaurant websites, social media, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
